About LineLive

After studying Maths, Physics and Engineering at A Level and working in the engineering services division of Windscale (Sellafield) Nuclear Power Station, Rick graduated with a degree in product design in 1980 before joining the North Sea oil boom in Aberdeen.

Finding a niche in documenting new equipment, he moved south in 1987 and founded Linelive in 1989.

Working initially on high-end homes, word spread and more and more contractors approached Linelive to compile O&M manuals for their differing projects.

The company continued to grow over the years, becoming the default subcontractor to many clients.

Although Linelive is a relatively small company, it is widely regarded for producing accurate, easily accessible and high-quality documentation for projects large and small.

Rick started to take a back seat within Linelive during 2021, with Mark taking over day-to-day running of the company.

Rick retired as director during the summer of 2023, and handed the company to Mark.

How We Quote

Every project is quoted individually because no two construction projects are ever the same.

Requirements for Quotation

Please provide the following to receive an accurate quote:

  • Project name, description and location.
  • A copy of the Employer’s Requirements.
  • Floor plans and elevation (if available).
  • Schedule of subcontractor works packages.
  • Estimated practical completion date.

For mechanical and electrical services manuals, we will also require copies of the construction issue specification and main system schematic drawings.
